“Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) signaled that Republicans, if they win back control of the chamber, wouldn’t advance a Supreme Court nominee if a vacancy occurred in 2024, the year of the next presidential election,” The Hill reports.

Said McConnell: “I think it’s highly unlikely — in fact, no, I don’t think either party, if it were different from the president, would confirm a Supreme Court nominee in the middle of an election.”

16. The fact is McConnell, if they get control of the senate in 2022

and there was a vacancy in 2023, they wouldn't even meet with the nominee.

If by some horrible chance, we won the 2024 election but lost the senate, we'd be down one until we got the senate back or they got their next president.

He should just be honest about it and say "I will never, ever cooperate on anything for any reason."
