It seems that in this day and age, any enterprising group can mount an expedition to anywhere on Earth, on either side of the disk.
So why has no one taken any photos of the edge, or the other side for that matter?
It's not that far from Australia or Argentina.

My career would not exist if the earth were flat (I work in the satellite biz).

(26,662 posts)was the fact that the edges aren't commercialized all to hell. Best believe capitalism would find a way.

(22,356 posts)When you reach the edge you just reappear on the other side. This is why people think they fly or sail around the world and end up where they began.
(I wish I was joking but I this was from a flat-earther who was absolutely serious)

(19,055 posts)The few photographs that've been published were actually taken on a movie set in Phoenix.
And if you consider how much it must cost to keep that much ice from melting in Phoenix, you have an idea of how serious they are that we not find out.

(34,189 posts)After that, it's turtles all the way down. Or maybe tortoises.
My opponent's reasoning reminds me of the heathen, who, being asked on what the world stood, replied, "On a tortoise." But on what does the tortoise stand? "On another tortoise." With Mr. Barker, too, there are tortoises all the way down. (Vehement and vociferous applause.)
