(13,493 posts)Disney World in Florida has been operating without all the restrictions for a bit, though they require masks etc. And they've not been a hotbed of contagion. I think that the business is doing everything right in order to maintain safety for the public and the employees. Lots is outdoors. The lines have been social distanced, but levels of the virus in Claifornia are low enough to take those restrictions away.
This is a positive thing.
Disneyland has had WAY more restrictions than Disney World. THey're in a good place now. Let them ease up.

(16,384 posts)We have people on the forum who clearly fit that bill. You can practically feel the wishful thinking about the delta variant.

(100,070 posts)I've already been to stadiums and restaurants, and I've got several concerts already lined up. Though I do see this kind of thing here and everywhere on the internet. Whatever floats your boat, I guess.
Even my brother, who is an ER doctor, has said that he thinks the worst of this is behind us. So I would like to think that.

(100,070 posts)I was supposed to go see Motley Crue there last year but that show's getting moved back to 2022.
I might have to make an excuse and go to a Rams or Chargers game in November! I was also thinking of taking a trip to Vegas and hitting up the new Raiders stadium.

(50,949 posts)when I disagreed with the conventional wisdom and said the virus would kill lots more than 60,000.
Most of us live and some of us learn.

Outbreaks in unvaccinated states.
Outbreaks in the vicinity of theme parks, and then follow the spread when visitors head home.
Outbreaks associated with sporting events.
This ain't over, by a long shot.

(1,495 posts)both tested positive and have symptomatic Covid infections. She is also fully vaccinated and lives with them. She doesn't have any symptoms herself yet. She is supposed to sing at a large indoor church event tonight. She didn't know if she should stay home in case she is positive too. I told her that the CDC guidelines say if she is fully vaccinated and exposed to people with Covid, she doesn't need to quarantine if she doesn't have any symptoms. So she is going to go to the event and hope for the best.
