Did Biden unwittingly open the door for a very clever strategy to destroy GOP?

Or perhaps wittingly, and very well played?

The goal would be to drive centrist Republicans in Congress to see they have no future unless they bail on Trumpism. They are currently LOSING the hearts and minds of the majority of Americans. Drive them to rebel, out of their own self interest.

The strategy would be this:

As he did yesterday, talk about how damaged the GOP is, after and with Trump.

Numbers greatly diminished. Down to 25 percent of electorate!

Lost the House, the Senate, the presidency.

Power can only be maintained by anti-American measures.

Corruption in the party and its members rampant.

Dabbling in domestic terrorism.

And so on.

BY CONTRAST.....

Democrats agenda is all-American, focused on strength and principles approved by majority of Americans. We do things right here.

And so on.

This would mesh nicely with the evident agenda to repair the economy and fix things. Look! See how good Dems are at governance? Do you, in Congress, want to be part of this? Or do you want to support THE BIGGEST LOSER, the SLOBMASTER?

Opposition to the Dem Party in 2015/16 was loud & clear.

Democrats were given negative labels of identity en masse via MSM & Social Media driven campaigns to split the Democratic Party & replace it in full Tea Party style, which is based in populism.

2016 was the year opposition to the Democratic Party went full bore.

2015 the taste was drooling from their mouths.

But I can look at every Democratic President as far back in my memory with JFK, RFK, MLK, to Bill Clinton and forward.

The familiar theme running thru each one of them, their strength, was always civil rights, & the Black vote against the Southern White Supremacy.

Democrats have that one stronghold the Right could never own, so they had to legislate & restrict to stop it.

Of course there are other factors, wealth vs more wealth, foreign interests, but damn, the Black vote has been our consistant ally.
Civil rights to human rights..have never advanced but for the Democratic Party.

For that to happen there would no longer be elections. Do you see the Democratic party enforcing such a thing? I do not. If the republican party dissolves as a party a new one will form, or the democratic party will fracture into a progressive party and the moderate becoming known as the conservative party.

There may for a time be Democrats versus independents but there will never really be a sungle party in the US.

If the Democratic party Does what is needed to return America to prosperity, to rid the government of corruption and restore honor and integrity, to make Congress and the Presidency representatives of all Americans, To make minimum wage livable and free universal health care, then what is the need of a second party? If one party is doing a great job, then what is the need for another?

The truth is that America does not need political parties. All that does is create a fight between the two that results in the the needs of America falling by the wayside. If one party says,"we can do x", and the other says, "we don't think doing x is a good idea, vote for us," then what you have is a system where people vote for the party, not the candidate. Certainly, with modern day communication, the need for a political party has diminished. What it needs is a government that is a servant to the people of America, as said in the preamble to the Constitution.

Politics has been framed as a football game for way too long. A vs B. Time to throw away that old concept.

would mean the end of a two party system? Do you really believe that all Americans would be of one political view? Hell, not even all Dems are of one view.

There are still conservatives in the US. There are also Independents, Libertarians, and Greens. There will always be groups of people who politically oppose the views of other political groups. It's basic human nature.

As for the demise of the Republican party, hell, yes. Best thing that could happen for the future of the US and democracy would be the end of that fascist, anti democracy party.

I don't think Democrats are working to destroy the Republican Party, only exposing the horror show that now constitutes the main body of the Republican Party, and showing how devastating their vision of the future is to the Republic.
It was during the 1990's that the Republican Party began to morph into the absolutely anti-constitution, anti-rule-of-law, Anti-American mess they now seem to be.
They have become part of a movement that wants to destroy the Republic, and re-make America in a very Putin-like false democracy, where white supremacists run everything.

The Democrat's goal is not to become a one party state, it's to protect the nation from the dangerous excesses of those people who now control the Republican Party. If it results in the dissolution of that party, then you can be sure one or more parties will spring up to take it's place. Politics abhors a vacuum.
Right now it's about economic recovery from the pandemic, and protecting voting rights. If we can't get the American voters to respond to this with their votes, we are in deep shit.

Make no mistake, this is a battle for the future of the Republic. The Democrats want to preserve the Republic, and the Republicans want to destroy it.

President Biden is well poised to make noise.

He can afford to speak out in ways that President Obama felt he could not.
President Biden can afford to speak frankly about republican failures and danger to the USA.
The Republican Party is direct evidence of incompetence.

The President can use the 'in-our-face-truth' about republican values or lack there of. He need not say the are bad, but simply point over and over to bad-for-America republican behavior and intentions.

Those who will never hear the truth no matter how loud it is shouted are not going to vote democratic.
Those non-Democrats who actually have minds and hearts will see differently after a competent President and noisy 'in-your-face' "the Republican Party is a clear and present danger to the USA" messaging.

Citizens understand what corruption is, and they despise it.

A zillion examples of GOP corruption exist.

Hammer it home in messaging every moment, every day, from Dem leadership.

The old GOP is replaced by corruption. Fully, totally, corrupt.

Use the word over and over and over again. No Dem should go to a microphone to speak about Republican obstructionism without using the word

CORRUPTION.

In fact few heard that reinstating The Fairness Doctrine was a key policy message.

Media ran the table against the warnings..

"Burn it all down" ! they shouted over those warnings.
Foreign messaging, Silicon Valley, Steve Bannon , & his altRight, Peter Thiel, theft of Voter Data, ...you name it, they all got on board to gut the country & make themselves multimillionares in the end.

No one heard the warnings then, and that was the intent.
