Although I was fortunate to never serve in a combat environment, I'm proud of my Naval service during the "cold" war from 79-83.

Shots were never fired, but we came close more times than are public record.

Pricks like Rubio, Jordan, Scott et al had the opportunity to step up and didn't.

They don't get to judge or pontificate.

But, officers and recently detached, not so much.
Especially given the extreme military worship so commonly on display.
There are obvious exceptions, of course.
But, as a general rule, I agree it's a bad idea.
