If HR1 somehow miraculously passes
If Manchin and Sinema come around on the filibuster just for this “one-time” bill and some form of this bill is passed, is it safe to say State Republican Attorney Generals will sue and this will eventually end up at the SCOTUS

1. not really. you can't just sue because you don't like a bill
there has to be a reason based on law.

2. Won't the suit say something to the effect that
HR1 contradicts their voting laws and its sovereignty to run their elections

4. not quite for federal elections. As per the constitution
Article I, Section 4, Clause 1:
The Times, Places and Manner of holding Elections for Senators and Representatives, shall be prescribed in each State by the Legislature thereof; but the Congress may at any time by Law make or alter such Regulations, except as to the Places of chusing Senators. |

6. I can see different rules for federal and state elections if this were to pass
Early voting for federal but come back on Election Day for state elections. Oh won’t that be just fun. Yes repugs will do something like this.

7. yeap. this would be such a huge mess
