The Pro Act = Employee Free Choice Act 2.0
Once again, Progress Joe shocks me into line.
But, I've stopped questioning Joe Biden quite quickly. He isn't some Johnny come quickly.
He's molded his career from a lifetime of public servitude.
Our president has built a political career from learning every aspect and nuance of the US Senate. He knows what can pass the senate into law and which bills will whither and die.
Biden is a true progressive in his heart. I've seen too much good from Joe to think anything else. He is the most progressive political leader that I've seen in my lifetime. FDR-like.
Fight for Joe. We'll all benefit.
Let's act like 2022 is a fight for our lives because it is.
Let's elect a congress worthy of Joe because it will benefit all of us.
Biden has a progressive heart of gold and his policies show that.
Period.
Fight for Joe. Fight for progress.
No more whimpering.

(758 posts)House Democrats Pass Bill That Would Protect Worker Organizing Efforts
House Democrats have approved a bill that would provide protections for workers trying to organize, a measure that is the labor movement's single biggest legislative priority in this Congress.
The bill passed Tuesday with a 225-206 vote, with five Republicans joining Democrats in favor of it. The bill is unlikely to advance in the Senate, given a lack of Republican support for the legislation.
Union leaders say the Protecting the Right to Organize Act PRO Act would finally begin to level a playing field they say is unfairly tilted toward big business and management, making union organizing drives and elections unreasonably difficult.
"The PRO Act would protect and empower workers to exercise our freedom to organize a bargain," Richard Trumka, the president of the AFL-CIO, told NPR in a recent interview. "It's a game changer. If you really want to correct inequality in this country wages and wealth inequality, opportunity and inequality of power passing the PRO Act is absolutely essential to doing that."

This is an EFCA 2.0..
I will be writing threads in the future on the importance of this legislation.
This is progress defined!
Biden is sponsoring this FDR-like progressive legislation.
Biden is becoming a progressive fighter and hero to me.
I'm an old cranky yellow-dog. For Biden to impress an old crank like me says something..
Positive.
salute to Biden!!

(47,430 posts)We have a true progressive in the White House, as you said, FDR-like. We are very fortunate and should do everything we can to support him. Now is the time for major progressive change, if we don't falter. People may not totally agree with everything he does, but he does know what he is doing and he is doing it honestly with good intentions.
There is no hidden political agenda, no pursuit of power. Biden is doing what he thinks is right and fortunately, he has the experience and skills to accomplish a great deal.

(758 posts)It's folk like you, fellow progressives, that make this bearable and worthy of typing this shit out.
I know that sounds crude but bear with me.
I'd given up hope on political rants in the past but I also quickly realize..
There are others who feel the same...
Never give up on hope because there is an ARMY of others who are willing to fight the good fight.
Keep me and others inspired. I wont let you down.
Myself and others draw strength from your fighting ability.
Never forget that!

(17,984 posts)And I remember FDR. Sitting in front of the big Crosley radio listening to him. I may have been small, but listening to that man I think I became a die hard Democrat, although it would be years before I could vote.
Joe is the second FDR.

(50,373 posts)Something like the GOP getting dunked on by Jordan is what I wanna see...
We can help Joe by giving him the key assists, like Scottie Pippen did in the NBA championship games.
Then Joe can take it to the paint and dunk on their asses all day...

(758 posts)Shaking off defenders was his "thang".
Jordan and Pippen. Was there ever another dynamic duo?
I look towards modern politics and see that in Biden/Harris.
The policies that these fine folks are fighting for inspires me like Jordan/Pippen.
Yes, their that good in my eyes.
Biden deserves so much better than the Rethugs that are trying to stop him at every turn.
Thanks for posting. Your reply is so true!!
