Driver charged in deadly DUI crash was engaged in sex act, authorities claim

A man charged with plowing his pickup into a group outside a California bar last Friday night, killing one woman and injuring two men, allegedly was engaged in sex act at the time, authorities claim. Alex Corpus Moreno, 32, was charged Wednesday with gross vehicular manslaughter and DUI causing injury for the fatal collision outside the Agave Sports Bar and Grill in San Jose, court documents obtained by the Daily News confirm.

According to witnesses interviewed by police, the truck shot back through the parking lot at a speed as fast as 40 miles per hour and pinned the three victims amid a chaotic scene of overturned tables and chairs. The truck’s engine was still “revving at high levels even after the collision” and bystanders had to open the driver’s side door, pull Moreno out and shift the truck out of reverse to free the “trapped victims,” the report states.

The woman who died was identified as 35-year-old Diana Prieto-Chacon. She had been “crushed” by the vehicle’s bumper, the police report alleges. The other two victims were men who suffered serious leg injuries and were expected to survive.

Moreno had been kicked out of the bar moments earlier because he was “extremely intoxicated and using cocaine at the bar,” a police report filed with the complaint and obtained by The News alleges. He left with a 24-year-old woman who then joined him inside a 2017 Chevrolet Silverado truck owned by his construction firm employer, the report states. The woman later told police she began performing oral sex on Moreno while intoxicated herself and did not realize the truck started to reverse from its parked position.

“At some point during the oral sex, she was pulled from the vehicle by security personnel and did not know what was happening. (She) did not recall the vehicle moving backwards and did not recall the collision,” the report states.

Obviously I really wish nobody had gotten hurt cause I don't like to see innocent people hurt ever.

But it's also a little sad that now we can't even joke about these clowns. Why couldn't it have just been like the side of an abandoned building they ran into?
