But Joe is definitely keeping his ego and personality in check better than any president in my lifetime.

In a way, he's cracked the code. Leadership traditionally used to be about being larger than life, a singular figure that everyone else looked up to. But in the era of the billion dollar right-wing psychosis machine, that kind of attention magnet can be massacred no matter how virtuous they are. Joe is depriving them of a target and it's driving them into drooling insanity.
