[She is the]Youngest, adored child of Robert Maxwell. [She was] Totally dependent on her daddy's approval. Epstein filled that role.

That do ya?

You say you are "reading between the lines." Quote what you read.

If you are writing for the benefit of your readers, you would have leapt at the opportunity to correct your mistake. No need to be cryptic. Be clear.

For your readers, not for your convenience.

up with? I keep waiting for a defense that states that it was the defendant's genetics/DNA that made
them do it.

Knowing her trial is sort of pending, I recalled articles I'd read about her relationship with her father and imagined how this would be used in her defence.

with women clients. They say that the woman was mentally abused or brow-beaten into doing illegal things for the man. And a lot of the time, it works. I wouldn't be surprised if she got a much lighter sentence than what she deserves. Besides, they have to do something to make sure she doesn't talk. If she doesn't 'suicide,' then they have to find a way to keep her quiet.

Maxwell still made bad choices and has to be held accountable.

He wasn’t even 10 years older than her, not that it matters. I just don’t see any lawyer worth their pay using that as a defense.

The defense will be that she was forced by Epstein and is as much a victim as the children.

So Epstein's defence would be, if he needed it, mommy issues?

Personality problems can be used in a philosophical and psychological discussion of what motivates some, but in a court of law, they don't count for much.

I'm hoping her defence lawyers come up with something better.
And that gets thrown out just as quickly as any 'daddy issues' defence.

She is white, she is (supposedly) wealthy and well connected, so draw your own conclusion on how tough the legal system will be on her.
Possibly, US passport revoked if she has one, go away, never come to the US again?
