Why is it that conservative parties, specifically, align with the interests of the elite?

Conservatism, manifest as a political party, is simply the effort of the elites to maintain their privileged status.

"The most crucial variable predicting the success of a democratic transition is the self-confidence of the incumbent elites. If they feel able to compete under democratic conditions, they will accept democracy. If they do not, they will not. Powerful statistical and electoral evidence argues that the single thing that most accurately predicts elite self-confidence in democracy is the ability to build an effective, competitive conservative political party before the transition to democracy occurs."

"As long as we get to keep our ill-gotten gains, then we won't hire mercenaries to kill the rabble"

So this is essentially a warning of just how much democracy shall be allowed by our "betters".

The idea of democracy is not premised on what the elites "will accept". That is the WHOLE point, is it not?

Where the 'deserving' and 'strong' rule over others, and others know their place.

They are essentially Royalists, wherein 'how much you're worth' substitutes for 'royal blood'.

Though they also have particular respect for old money as that confers a type of royalty.

The LAST thing they really think is that rot about how 'all men are created equal'.

And remind them they are not special, they are like everyone else.

If nessesary investigate thier crimes and assets for stuff like tax evasion and if guilty of crimes lock them in regular jail. Teach them they are just people and they too can become powerless and poor.

Equal justice under the law including rich entitled dickheads manipulating people, the media and politics with threats and money.

Start with the Krotch brothers.
