Buffalo Bills wide receiver Cole Beasky: "I'd rather retire then get a a Covid 19 vaccine"

Source: CNN

Buffalo Bills wide receiver Cole Beasley, in a challenge to the National Football League's new Covid-19 training camp and preseason protocols, tweeted that he'd rather retire than get a vaccine.
"Everyone -- Hi, I'm Cole Beasley and I'm not vaccinated!," he wrote in a post Friday that he called a "Public Service Announcement."

"I will be outside doing what I do," Beasley added. "I'll be out in the public. If your scared of me then steer clear, or get vaccinated. Point. Blank. Period. I may die of covid, but I'd rather die actually living."

The defiant tweet comes on the same week the NFL sent teams a memo highlighting different protocols for vaccinated and unvaccinated.

comment: How does one deal with this total stupidity?..

My guess is these 4 sentences (paragraph 3)

"I will be outside doing what I do," Beasley added. "I'll be out in the public. If your scared of me then steer clear, or get vaccinated. Point. Blank. Period. I may die of covid, but I'd rather die actually living."

Just think, all this time, I thought I'd been actually living since I got vaccinated. I would never have guessed that I'm not. Thanks so much for, err, clearing that up.

The Bills can cut him today and save something like 11 million against the salary cap over the next two seasons. They shouldn't hesitate to cut this dead weight from the team. It makes sense from a business and performance perspective.....you shouldn't be spending 15 million over the next two seasons on this average clown.

Or dying while heavily sedated, hooked up to a ventilator is "actually living"?

Does the fool think he's going to be out fishing one day, drinking beer and enjoying life, and then simply drop dead from Covid-19 while casting his line, mid-sentence while telling a joke?

CTE but it's CTE.*

https://www.bu.edu/cte/about/frequently-asked-questions/

The repeated brain trauma triggers progressive degeneration of the brain tissue, including the build-up of an abnormal protein called tau. These changes in the brain can begin months, years, or even decades after the last brain trauma or end of active athletic involvement. The brain degeneration is associated with common symptoms of CTE including memory loss, confusion, impaired judgment, impulse control problems, aggression, depression, suicidality, parkinsonism, and eventually progressive dementia.

*chronic traumatic encephalopathy and it's an educated guess but I wouldn't be surprised

I have no idea if this athlete has taken steroids, cortisone, stem cells, anything to improve performance or hasten recovery from injury. Maybe he is a true purist.

Maybe.
