https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/staffers-recall-insurrectionists-hunting-nancy-063839952.htmlIt was chilling when the two women who worked for the Speaker were recounting their 1/6 experience. Hiding behind a closed door and hoping that it would protect them after the exterior doors had already been breached. The insurrectionist hauntingly calling out "Nancy, where are you".
One of them said while they were talking that day while hoping the door would hold, "They take us hostage, right?" the other said "yea, I think?" and Republicans are calling it a regular tourism day. Listening to them last night, I felt terrible. They were hoping that if found they would be taken hostage as it sounded better than the alternative. let that set in, they were hoping to be taken hostage..... We failed them. Anyone who was in the building that day needs to go to jail to ensure this never happens again. If there are not consequences, it will..... This is the definition of Domestic Terrorism. Terrorists need to be treated as such. Investigate, Charge, Hold trials, Convict, Jail and set the example so this does not happen again.

(8,352 posts)Even 6 months later you can see that the alternative of being taken hostage was terrifying. Yet these women go back to work every day. I salute their bravery.

When you look at Trump and hear him slur some words out and think....thats what I want in a Leader something is very wrong in your brain.

(58,355 posts)and slurring and having dementia.
It's patently obvious the difference between his speaking ability and Trump's that Trump's is incoherent, unfocused, childish, and oft times makes one wonder if he has dementia or other issue. It's so obvious! To say otherwise is like arguing that the sky is purely fictional.
How do you argue with people who can't even agree that something that is real is actually real?
It's a level of delusion that used to be reserved only for the religious fundamentalists who stayed on the margins with their crap so that we never had to deal with it. When they had their little pretend world off on their own they were harmless; now they're half the senate and half the house and have their own major network news. Scary.

(58,355 posts)or the kind of response one could have expected from a Japanese Shogun or Emperor, or the kings of old and ancient days. But on the other hand, the death penalty is still pretty immoral. I'd like to see them all have their citizenship revoked and kicked out of the country - and leave the problem of where to go up to them. Like those assholes say to liberals all the goddamn time, "Love it or leave it". Shitstains. Since they're also pretty much all racists shitbags, let them not only be punished normally, but let them feel the punishment of finding out what it's like to be a demographic that they hate: a refugee, begging for help.
The fact that the capitol hallways didn't run red with the blood of the insurrectionists speaks well to the superior morality of the non-insurrectionists (and also, sadly, speaks even more strongly about the massive racism of our nation - if those had been African-Americans or Muslims or "the gays", they *would* have been slaughtered). In almost any earlier time, it would have been a bloodbath and it would have been justified.
