In 2018 the party tried to recruit either one of the Castro brothers to run against Greg and they pissed off the party by refusing. I was at a town hall that was packed to try to get Joaquin to run. I was a 2016 delegate to the national convention and we talked after the event. I had hopes that he would run
We ended up running a sheriff from Dallas who was a weak candidate
