On MSNBC?
He looked like Death Warmed Over. I generally dont diagnose over the teevee machine but he looked like his diabetes and/or alcohol is taking a toll.
Gaunt and looking as if hed aged thirty years since he left his show. Yes, I know some will be upset that I pointed this out. To you, I apologize. Kind of.

(42,036 posts)as to why he looks so bad. (I did see him recently on some show and agree with your observations).
He spent decades in Washington politics. It was what flowed in his veins. Having that show on MSNBC, hanging out with all the shakers and movers, making tons of money
inside a few weeks it was ripped away from him. He is now just another misogynistic boorish dirty old man. He isnt on anyones guest list anymore and probably spends most days feeling sorry for himself. Adding his poor health to the mix it is no surprise he looks terrible.

(77,795 posts)comes from success, in the case of flunkies from how successful their boss is.
That's why he flipped to wordhipping RAYGUN, who whipped his bosses' rears (CARTER, O'NEILL ). (By dirty tricks. )
So Tweety had a Great Fall, the worst thing that can happen to a flunky.

(15,556 posts)I have never forgiven him from a TV appearance during the 2000 recount where he trashed to way Gore was handling the recount and pronounced him done.
Wiki says he voted for George W. that year. Explains a lot.
Ass.

(11,949 posts)In his 70s. Looks pretty good for his age.
Most of us, if we make it till our 70s, will look worse.
Time is a thief.
I think the biggest change in generally healthy people with some money is between 65-75. Money and good healthcare can only preserve you for so long.

(2,600 posts)Chris Matthews has had some health challenges over the years, including diabetes and the lingering effects of malaria. Chris has looked a little bit flushed recently (to me, thats just normal Irish coloring), but otherwise his usual self, without the makeup. Personally, although I sometimes disagree with him, I miss his insights from decades of experience on the political scene. And his pure joy from being part of that environment.

(12,046 posts)Most of all I do not miss him repeatedly asking guests a question and then interjecting and trampling all over them as they attempted to answer... then proceeding to ask another question that they just answered but he didn't hear any of it because when he wasn't talking over them he was busy thinking about his next interruption.
