It is now possible to once again have a conversation on the deck overlooking our (heavily wooded) backyard.

I’d be loud too, if I had to spend 17 years in the ground.

I’d sing my heart out when I got out.

of June hurricanes
Since 1950, there have been four U.S. hurricane landfalls in June, and all of those happened on the Gulf Coast. Those hurricanes had their origin in the Gulf of Mexico or the western Caribbean, which are the areas of the Atlantic Basin that are most hospitable for early-season tropical cyclone formation.1 Jun 2021

Now nothing says it can't come from out of Africa through the Atlantic and Caribbean but it would be very, very unusual.

A strong tropical wave is expected to emerge off the coast of
Africa over the next day or so. Some gradual development of this
system is possible by early next week while moving generally
westward over the far eastern Atlantic.
* Formation chance through 48 hours...low...near 0 percent.
* Formation chance through 5 days...low...20 percent

1. A tropical wave located over the central tropical Atlantic Ocean is
producing disorganized showers and a few thunderstorms. Some slow
development of this disturbance is possible after the middle of the
week while the system moves westward to west-northwestward at 15 to
20 mph, likely reaching the Lesser Antilles by Wednesday night.

* Formation chance through 48 hours...low...20 percent.
* Formation chance through 5 days...medium...40 percent.
