I think Biden will accept the bi partisan compromise

Listen it’s not to everyone’s liking but it’s a deal that can be passed and it will be a political boon for Biden. They will be two bills passed one through reconciliation and the other through the regular procedure. I predict the one going through reconciliation is going to be what progressives want.

He'll put the Reconciliation option in his pocket for later in 2021 and a different issue.

3. Probably has to because Manchin and Sinema won't accept reconciliation with just Democrats on board

It is unfortunate, but that is the way it is for now

Only way around it is if the republicans who are for this “compromise”, back away, then we have a chance to write our own because Manchin and Sinema can’t justify bipartisanship

no way the small bill passes without the big one. At least that's what Liz Warren said tonight on Rachel.

my second choice...but I value team players. Something is better than nothing...when will some learn this important lesson. Politics is the art of compromise.

9. Why should Republicans get input but not progressives?

Compromise means everyone gets input, including progressives. I’m confident that when all is said and done, it will pass without one Republican vote.

probably by sliding tax increases into it for people making < $400K. He doesn't want Joe to have any legislative victories.

Then we have McConnell recently on record as saying he will do everything to obstruct Biden's agenda.

Unless the 5 Rs know for sure the names of at least 5 other Rs who plan to defy McConnell and vote for this bi-partisan compromise, then the who exercise is pointless.

11. I think no Republicans will support a bi-partisan deal if there is also a reconciliation bill.

And i think they’ll get a number of Dems to withdraw their support of a reconciliation deal in favor of doing a ‘historic’ bi-partisan bill.

More than just Manchin and Sinema, i think every single Dem in that gang of 22 or whatever it is, will not support a reconciliation bill in favor of the bi-partisan one.
