To the Congress or senate, dont remember which. He holds a snowball and says this is a snowball, it is cold. Ive seen the Rs become more and more childish and wonder how they can be so stupid and still function. Does someone tie their shoes for them in the morning? Id love to see someone pour a bowl of water over that idiots head and say heres your snowball, this is what happens to it in global warming. Of course they wouldnt understand, or more correctly they choose not to understand. They wallow in their righteous ignorance.

(72,114 posts)The state shot its wad by giving us Woody Guthrie. A whole universe of excellence, humanism, and progressivism in one go.
Its been a wellspring for stupidity, mediocrity, provincialism, and blistering human incompetence ever since.
I should know. My Dad was born in Oklahoma City, and he couldnt get out of there fast enough

(33,643 posts)On average of course the globe is warming, but on a more localized scale, it's climate change.
If the Atlantic Ocean warm-water conveyor shuts down, Northern Europe could definitely end up colder on average, for a good long time.
Another example being what a cold winter we had in the Eastern part of the USA.
It's kinda both is what I'm saying.

(11,780 posts)But when I think of Oklahoma I think back to working there for a few months in the early 80s. Horrible weather (due to stifling humidity), too many poisonous critters.
I remember an older fellow I worked with, he used to sometimes bring me some instructions and say he couldnt make it out, could I? Found out later he couldnt read. He took me fishing one time, he was a real nice guy really. found out hed never been outside the county we were in. It really shocked me, Id never met anyone like that. He wasnt stupid, pleasant to work with, I was just amazed by that. I couldnt help but wonder if he wasnt all that unusual there. On the other hand I dont think hed go for all the rethug BS. Hed definitely be a conservative, but he was down to earth and had common sense. I dont think hed have cared for TFG at all.
