At least based on what I heard on a podcast recently (I wish I could recall which one, but I listen to about a half dozen on current events/politics/law/crime/the former guy, and they bleed together).

I cannot recall the exact name of the legal doctrine, but apparently in NY the issue of recording one suspect by another cooperating suspect goes beyond just the issue of one party consent. Once guy number one is taking instructions from law enforcement the issue of law enforcement questioning guy number two without legal representation applies, to some degree. Maybe there's a way around it, this is not my area of expertise.

They've done the best they can to eradicate evidence of Weisselberg's complicity but he's going to die in jail rather than face Mob justice
