(14,061 posts)Hes seen the kind of shit that goes down in the Trump Organization, as have many others. If TO gets indicted, he cant very easily deny not knowing what went on in his own company, as he denies knowing people who wind up taking the fall for him.
The clock, I think, is finally ticking on this asshole. You cant outrun the law forever. I dont care if he spends one day in jail. I want to see him completely ruined, left with absolutely nothing. The fact that he probably has very little to begin with makes this image even more delicious.

(13,903 posts)I have no doubt that he done illegal things but he isn't going to prison. He may well be charged with something, but at best he will get some in-home confinement and fines.
The rich and powerful protect their fellow rich and powerful even if they don't like them. If the system gets to the Pig it can get to them.

Don't know how it proceeds from here, or what they can do to Weisselberg.
They both knew if neither gave up the goods, they'd both go free to continue with their criming.
They knew the investigation would be stopped at the door of Trump & Weisselberg.
I hope there is some way around this.
Maybe thru Trump's kids, but he'd expect them to take a conviction before the top mob boss & his accountant.

(43,173 posts)Wonder what would persuade him to do that? Given that pardons are not a possibility here.

(8,922 posts)I think he's speculating on an "if" scenario which could very well go the other way if Weisselberg decides he doesn't want to sit in prison for Trump.

(12,286 posts)All of that was a fools errand.
He has never been and never will be held to account for his crimes.
Sad but true.

(20,833 posts)we had two impeachments showing ample criminal activity, no charges. Years of corrupt business practices and nothing.
