Yesterday we heard from a whistleblower within the U.S. government who reached out to warn us that the NSA is monitoring our electronic communications and is planning to leak them in an attempt to take this show off the air, he said.
Carlson, a Fox News star who has pushed revisionist takes on the Capitol insurrection, stoked fears over teaching students about racism and advanced anti-vaccine conspiracy theories, said he had proof of government spying from his source, who knew about a story the show is working on that could have only come from Carlsons texts and emails.
The Biden administration is spying on us, Carlson declared. We have confirmed that.
Spying on opposition journalists is incompatible with democracy, he added. This is scary and we need to stop it right away.

(70,593 posts)... "news cycle" and or to get certain stories from getting too much attention. This a very calculated act
by Tucker and Fox. Although, I have always wondered just how deep into Fox News are the Russians?
So go for it NSA.

(6,268 posts)to believe you need the NSA to do that. Or maybe he or his writers thought "the NSA" sounded more serious than "the FBI."

(9,970 posts)... great to hear the NSA is doing its job! However, since Tuckums' show is #1, I doubt FOX is anxious to cancel.

Fox does not want to lose their stars to OAN or Newsmax.

Tucker is brash for CSPAN and thats about it. Laura wouldnt have come close to airtime back in their Roger Aisles hey days just for looks let alone her being a C league columnist.

(23 posts)Finally a NSA mission I would support.
The real reason of course is that by claiming the government is trying to shut him down makes him and his supporters feel important - they are so important and dangerous to the government that he has to be shut down. And he must be telling the truth or the government wouldn't be after him. Just spreading more lies to the gullible.

(36,946 posts)Freedom of the press may be guaranteed in the Constitution. But a plurality of Republicans want to give President Trump the authority to close down certain news outlets, according to a new public opinion survey conducted by Ipsos and provided exclusively to The Daily Beast.
So that same 43% of republicans would approve a democrat shutting down Fox news?
