House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy says he has asked Rep. Devin Nunes to investigate the National Security Agency

McCarthy states that one reason for the investigation is a claim made by Tucker Carlson, who has accused the agency of monitoring his electronic communications. The NSA has said this allegation is ‘untrue,’ adding that the Fox News host ‘has never been an intelligence target of the Agency.’

Tuckums for the last 8 months or so has been living in mortal fear of investigative stories on him— remember not too long ago when he tried to out that New York Times reporter by doxxing their info to cut the legs from under a piece he says they were doing on him?

I’m pretty sure a few enterprising journos have been sniffing around a little bit and he probably caught wind of a story or two they’ve been building on. What probably happened here is that in their journalistic due diligence they’ve been asking around about things that Tuckums thinks there’s no way they should have any knowledge of.

I’m assuming one or more of those folk have gone running back to him about the line of questioning and he’s freaked about it.

Freaked enough to lie about who told him what and to get a few friendly legislators to obfuscate by tagging the intelligence agencies as the culprit.
