As a former president he is pretty much immune from all justice.

That’s just reality.

I hate it. But I think people should give up hoping he will be charged. Ever.

if they just reach a monetary settlement and no one ever even gets arrested.

Not everyone who cheats on their taxes goes to jail. Actually very few do. They can be financially ruined, though. The thing ism Trump has been financially ruined for decades. He's a pro at it. It's how he makes a living and bankruptcy is his comfort zone.

The big Cahuna will be if they can build a RICO case against the whole family. Mark my word, though, if Trump is arrested and charged with major crimes, his base will be energized like nothing you could imagine. He could win the 2024 nomination from a jail cell.

not reporting significant perks on THEIR personal tax returns.

If someone has proof that trump did the same, he might be indicted. Don’t think anyone has that proof, including prosecutors.

Some believe CFO has some magic black book of crimes trump committed. Have seen no evidence that CFO, Michael Cohen, etc., have such info.

Hope I’m wrong because trump deserves whatever he gets. But have already spent more energy on this than trump is worth. At this point, I’m fine with him living his remaining years in shame and defeat, getting a few slaps on the back from ignorant white wing rubes.

It was simply the easiest charge to get the grand jury to indict. One assumes they're using the slam dunk charge to motivate the guilty to cooperate to make other charges easier to put in front of the grand jury.

They do not want to divide the country even further and they do not wish to invite more violence.

If it was anyone else, they would have been indicted a long time ago. He is holding our country hostage.

The idea being showing criminal activity in his business will show he's a crook. The problem is, you'd think the charity would have shown that, or Trump U or Michael Cohen going to jail, or the first impeachment, or the second.

Between them and the illegalities.

False loan docs? "Didn't know a damn thing about it, ask Alan."

Off the book goodies to Weisselberg? "Didn't know a damn thing about it, ask Alan."

Paid off the porn star? "Didn't know a damn thing about it, ask Mike."
