General Discussion
Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsA week before Election Day 2016, an unfounded rumor began to circulate about the Clinton Foundation
Specifically, that it was about to be the subject of numerous indictments for various acts of corruption.
There were of course no factual bases for these rumors, but they bounced around in the disinformation sewers of the internet until finally making its way up to Fox News and Bret Baier's evening news show, where it was reported completely as fact without a hint of speculation.
A couple of days later, Baier was forced to sheepishly backtrack and admit that no, despite his report, there was no substance to the rumors that there would be an imminent rash of indictments surrounding to the Clinton Foundation.
But the damage was done, and that--coupled with the re-opening and then re-closing of the FBI email investigation--cut into Hillary Clinton's poll numbers considerably, with the rest being history.
No indictment of the Clinton Foundation or any of its officers was ever made. It has remained--as always--a top notch run NGO whose work worldwide has been invaluable.
Keep that all in mind when you read today's indictment of the Trump Organization, and never forget who the actual criminals were.

It had nothing, but it hinted a lot and completely neglected to talk about the Foundation's sterling Charity Navigator rating. I was so mad that I donated the Clinton Foundation every month for a year (until I was laid off).
If NYT had really wanted to do journalism, they could have looked at the other candidate's charitable foundation, soon to be shuttered for corruption.

Trump couldn't figure out how to defeat or derail an airborne pandemic with a youthful Tony Fauci yelling in his face "Wear a mask mr president and tell everybody to wear a mask !"
Fox is in bed with repubs and they do a huge disservice to americans every stinking day they broadcast.
