(14,110 posts)since Biden got elected for some reason. Instead of being happy that we control the executive, senate, and house, people are convinced that the end of democracy is here and theres nothing we can do about it. Strange.

(26,698 posts)the basic institutions of democracy in this country since Biden got elected. Some of us have been noticing this. Only time will tell whether we can, or will, do anything to stop this process. I'm waiting to see what happens, though I can't say that I'm feeling very optimistic right now.
You are free to rake me over the coals for that if you feel like it.

Yeah, it's nice that TFG's business is in trouble, but rich (or seemingly rich) men tend not to get consequences for anything in our society. Add that he was once roosting in the Oval Office and it feels as if it will all go away. It feels like theater.
The SCOTUS thing is a big problem. We're not defeated, but the hill just got a lot harder to climb.

And before the indictment was handed down, it was not radical to fear we might have had yet another disappointment.
But since the indictment was handed down, there has been ZERO gloom and doom about the indictment.
And certainly no one saying, "give it up" "we've already lost" and "it's all over"
