(10,599 posts)I wish this would make me happy. I really do.
But unless someone is actually held accountable, this is a mere inconvenience for these Criminals.
While we think it's extremely embarrassing, I don't think someone with as low ethics as him, suffer embarrassment.
I WANT HIM HELD ACCOUNTABLE.
I WANT HIM IN JAIL FOR YEARS.
Great if this is a start towards that, but I'm not going to get excited over something that will look insignificant in a few months, if he's walking free.

(11,094 posts)I see Trump frog-walked into court crying like an infant with a load in his shorts...and then not 100% happy until the words "guilty on all counts" are heard, followed by wailing tears and screams of "You can't do that to me!!!"

(1,666 posts)Once he is arrested, his mental health will decline at a much faster rate than it already is. He is going nuts not being on Twitter and the center of attention. In prison he wont even be able to bust in on parties and rant; hell have to rant at the walls and the cells across from him.
He will mentally and physically decline so fast, that it will likely be shocking to see.

They always do.
The Cosby thing is a strong reminder that justice isn't really a thing when you are talking about rich people.

Its the tip of the Trump crime syndicate iceberg.
This better not end up like so many of the disappointments weve experienced in dealing with the Trump thus far. It may be our best and only shot at saving us from criminal oligarchy. The Supreme Court did not make rescuing democracy any easier today.

A good accountant answers without hesitation, "Anything you want it to be, Sir!"

(20,630 posts)...I'd be shitting my pants, and I'm sure that's what happened today to at least three of Trump's offspring. Even the Kushners used that business as their personal piggy bank.
Now it's possible Wiessleberg has a rusted out bro truck with giant Trump flags festooning the bed and he'll gladly take the fall for the family, but I doubt it.

(1,085 posts)I personally believe that there are a bundle of indictments buried in the Mueller Report----there is not a moment in Mueller's career that did not shine. His position was misread by many of us. He simply stated that a President can not be indicted. Things are different now and it is a new day.

New York Penal Code Article 460, et seq.
Statutory Definition of Enterprise Corruption
A person is guilty of enterprise corruption when, having knowledge of the existence of a "criminal enterprise" and the nature of its activities, and being employed by or associated with such enterprise, he or she:
Intentionally conducts or participates in the affairs of an enterprise by participating in a pattern of criminal activity;
Intentionally acquires or maintains an interest in or control of an enterprise by participating in a pattern of criminal activity; or
Participates in a pattern of criminal activity and knowingly invests any proceeds derived from that conduct, or any proceeds derived from the investment or use of those proceeds, in an enterprise.
The enterprise that is corrupted need not be the criminal enterprise by which the person is employed or with which he or she is associated, and may be a legitimate enterprise.
Statutory Definition of Criminal Enterprise
A "criminal enterprise" is "a group of persons sharing a common purpose of engaging in criminal conduct, associated in an ascertainable structure distinct from a pattern of criminal activity, and with a continuity of existence, structure and criminal purpose beyond the scope of individual criminal incidents."

(793 posts). . . I'd say "go for it, Al!" But we're dealing with American lock-ups which can be rather short on the amenities. Weisselberg hasn't had his reality check yet. No one in the twilight of their years wants the wafer thin mat (as opposed to mattress) on a slab of cold steel to sleep on. Especially when the normal aches and pains of the elderly years have kicked in.
These Nordic prison cells are so good, you'd want to go to jail
