Latest alleged Oaf Creeper arrested in Capitol riot turned over body armor and firearm

Another alleged Oath Keepers associate was arrested Friday in connection with the Jan. 6 Capitol riot, accused of joining a “stack formation” of organized members who prosecutors say marched up the east steps and entered the Rotunda in camouflage and tactical gear.

David Moerschel, 43, of Punta Gorda, Fla., was charged by criminal complaint Thursday with three counts, including conspiracy and obstructing Congress. Moerschel joined some defendants who prosecutors allege staged in advance at an Arlington hotel, where they say weapons were stored for a “Quick Reaction Force” site.

His arrest makes him at least the 18th alleged Oath Keeper in a group whose members prosecutors have accused of plotting and communicating in advance to breach the Capitol and disrupt Congress that day.

“We look forward to proving Mr. Moerschel’s innocence,” said his attorney, Scott Weinberg. Moerschel made an initial appearance in federal court in Fort Myers, Fla., and was conditionally released on $25,000 unsecured bond.

That may be the only thing that puts an end to this bull-shit.

non-law enforcement or security person?

Being prepared for urban warfare is not acceptable to me, sorry. And, no, I’m not the “arbiter” of such matters, strictly how I look at at.

BTW: Your User Name describes many of the gunners I’ve known.

6. I own it because it's legal and I felt like buying it. I own all sorts of things I don't "need".

It seems to bother you that I possess something that makes it less likely that I would die if I’m shot. Why is that?

As for my username, Dial H for Hero is a very silly superheroes series from the Sixties. It has squat to do with guns (or “gunz” as you consistently and bafflingly misspell the word).

7. When police are maiming protesters in the streets, wearing body armor is perfectly reasonable.

Further, there are armed racist extremists. Body armor can protect people from harm. If anti-racist activists are wearing body armor, which they sometimes do, I totally get it.

8. Let judges decide who are the white wingers and sentence them.

People who are strictly using body armor to protect them from racists and bigots have more need for body armor than white wingers. But, we can start with the white wingers.

I believe acquiring body armor is a good indicator of a racist, rube, criminal, etc. Not 100%, but significant.

Armor may predict those that should be evaluated for conditions that might contradict ownership of firearms, etc.

I’m not for enabling urban warfare.

Are fingering others.

When looking at 20-30 years at trial vs 5-7 if you cop a plea all these guys will buckle. And lead to the leaders of the coup attempt. Regardless of who they are.

Looks like Garland was serious about getting to the bottom of this.
