The Trump Crime Wave
First of all, all the media-manufactured panic over the rise in crime is fake because the crime rate was already at historic lows, and the coverage was nowhere as breathless a decade ago, when violent crime was at similar levels.
But, as we Democrats are wont to do, we overcorrect in the face of media and rightwing pressure and lavish money on the police, denounce "Defund" and all that good stuff.
Those actions only feed the trolls to lay the responsibility for violent crime on Democrats feet when it doesn't actually belong there.
Crime rose during the last guy's presidency, and we are continuing to suffer the consequences for his misadministration. So call it what it is: The Trump Crime Wave.
That phrase should be stuck on every Democrat's mouth when they speak to the media, talk about policy, or even when they breathe.
If you can't tar the other side with this easy layup, you don't deserve to be in politics.
