Breakfast at Wimbledon - four Americans left

17 year old Coco Gauff; 20 year old Sebastian Korda, 23 year old Taylor Fritz and 26 year old Madison Keys. Madison and Seb play on Monday.

Coco and Taylor coming up shortly. Don't see Taylor beating Zverev here but who knows.

I guess and I need to o go back and watch her from 2019 because I don't remember her having such an extreme western grip on her forehand. She might have and I just missed it, but it's not something you see with most American players.

I know some people hate him, but when he's not acting like an ahole he's so talented and entertaining. He was also playing mixed with Venus Williams.

..... but he garners way too much attention for someone who's achieved so little.

Zverev wins and the Fed loses the 3rd set. He'd better hope this doesn't go to five sets.

it is for me, as they clutter up the broadcast when there are more interesting matches going on.

Until they are mostly out of the draw I watch on ESPN + so I can pick the matches I want to watch, instead of being force fed a steady diet of American players - especially since most of them are Trumpers.

matches, too. They are a combo of the world feed comms and BBC comms (at Wimby.) Plus, they don’t talk nearly as much and never during points - and they don’t talk constantly talk about when they were players or ask stupid questions of the color comms. They also don’t repeat, as nauseam the same player stories over and over and over again. Some matches on the really small courts have no comms at all. That is the best.

But at least they got rid of Patrick Mouratoglou. He is an attention whore. He’s even worse now that he has gloomed onto Coco and Tsitsi.

TC is owned by Sinclair and I really hate that I give my money to that awful company. But they have too many of the tourneys to be without it.
