Now, it's the education system's fault, huh?
At a time when RWNJs are trying to prevent the teaching of the facts, it's the education system's fault that this 49 year old woman didn't learn 35 years ago, what many(!) others did 35.
This seems a decorated spin on "don't jail me because I'm a moron" defense.

or at least some version of it.

Damn, what are the rednecks gonna think?

“Well, on the one hand I HATE CRT, even though I don’t know what it is…but it kept Grammy out of jail…I just don’t know, I just don’t know. Everything’s all confusing nowadays.”

Hoosier hospitality, is generally for people who look like you, have the same religion and politics as you. There is a deep, simmering smugnesss about how exceptional they are in their own estimation. Not everyone in Indiana of course is like that, but the majority are, in my experience.

I visited a small town in Indiana (Fairmount) where my friend lived. One morning I went for a walk through town alone. Even though I "looked" like everyone else in town, not a single person returned my wave, smile, or hellos. When my buddy got home I told him what had happened. He was sincerely at a loss for words.

He's not surprised that the only way that we learned about the Tulsa Massacre was from watching "Watchmen". I mean, I'm not. I grew up in Pittsburgh, and didn't even know about August Wilson until I got to college!

They obviously are the former guy's "poorly educated" who slept through all 12 grades. I wonder how many of them can even write their names.

They all should do some time. They were part of an armed insurrection, people died, others were severely injured and are now disabled due to the attack. One police officer was killed, two others took their own lives, one person was shot by an officer whose life is forever changed after taking a life and we are talking about books and movies.

Fuck them, they should get some jail time. You can educate them while behind bars so they know better when they get out.

They tried to end the American experience in democracy, people died, to just say I am sorry seems a LOT light to me.
