They're using "would you date a Trump supporter?" survey results to argue that they're being discriminated against in hiring and other arenas. The one doesn't follow from the other, and it's basically a huge non sequitur. Saying "girls won't date me because I'm a Trump supporter" in no way supports the notion that they didn't get X job because they're a Trump supporter.

Even if that were the case, political leanings aren't a protected class like race, gender, sexual orientation, etc. It's just a really, really dumb argument all the way around, but no real surprise there.
