Our business has a $70k min wage, a median wage close to $100k, full benefits, 3% 401(k) grants & unlimited paid parental leave.
We've had over 300 applicants per job opening this year.

He made no mention, implicitly or explicitly of raising the minimum wage to $34/hr.
You probably (and inaccurately) projected the example of his pay schedule he set for his company onto the totality.
