The Trump kids look likely to turn on their dad - and I suspect Ivanka will go first

Trump’s children, to be clear, haven’t been charged with anything yet. However, they have a lot to be worried about. As Donald Trump’s biographer said recently, one reason Weisselberg is in trouble is that he was allegedly paid as an employee and a nonemployee contractor – allowing various tax write-offs. A New York Times investigation reported that Ivanka Trump was similarly paid more than $700,000 (£500,000) in consulting fees while also collecting a salary as a full-time employee of the Trump Organization. It is likely Eric and Don Jr had similar arrangements in place – we only know for sure about Ivanka because she had to disclose the payments when she gave herself a job at the White House.

If any of the Trump kids are going to turn on their dad, my money is squarely on Ivanka. Indeed, she already seems to be distancing herself strategically from her no-longer-particularly-useful father. A couple of weeks ago, for example, there were reports that Trump’s complaints about the “stolen” 2020 election were driving Ivanka and Jared Kushner away. These reported leaks about Javanka are not new phenomena – they happened frequently throughout Trump’s presidency, leading some to suspect it was a PR tactic by a couple keen to remain in the good graces of liberals as well as the Maga crowd.

While Ivanka appears to be coolly attempting to control her own narrative behind the scenes, Donald Jr and Eric reacted to the Trump Organization criminal charges by having histrionics on camera. Eric Trump told Newsmax last week that “Don, Ivanka and I live really nice, clean lives”. Meanwhile, Don Jr posted a 13-minute video on Facebook calling the charges against his dad “banana-republic stuff”. He also (rather unhelpfully) acknowledged that the allegations Trump paid for Weisselberg’s grandchildren’s school fees were true. “My dad did that,” he said, because he is a “good guy”. A “good guy” who probably wishes he raised smarter kids. With children like these, who needs enemies?

1. I've thought one of the most entertaining sideshows

will be watching the Trumps turn on each other. Ivanka will have her deal cut before Junior & Eric figure out shes thrown them under the bus.

2. Did the "good guy" pay for the tuition out of his own salary then

he should be in the clear. If he paid for it out of company funds and then counted it as an expense, he is in trouble.

At the radio station where I worked, we also had to issue a 1099 form for any winners over $400. Not sure if that is the same with "the gift of tuition."

8. It is my personal opinion that Ivanka was sexually abused by her father, Donald Trump,

in some manner or another... All the photos themselves were just wrong.

Maybe there was first degree criminal sexual conduct, and maybe there wasn't-- ('Is it wrong to be more sexually attracted to your daughter, than to your wife?' ~ Donald Trump) but I am quite confident in thinking that there was more than enough of what would be considered "unlawful touching" going on, at the least... I guess that is "3rd degree criminal sexual conduct" but I am not a lawyer...

Victims of incestual sexual abuse may sometimes fall into one of 2 categories-- some will defend their abuser, a sort of 'Stockholm syndrome'.. (Ivanka would seem to fall into that category if my supposition is true, at least up to the point where her father was ejected from the White House)...

Others will eventually become "woke"/ "me too", and turn against their abuser...

It is possible that could play out with Ivanka turning against her father in these criminal/civil cases, as "surrogates" for the REAL PERSONAL crimes committed against her by her father (that is the "allegation", based on my personal opinion).

Of course, in many states, the 'statute of limitations' has been removed, for sexual crimes committed against women in their youth (such is true in the state of Michigan, not sure about New York...) but I suppose she would never go that far (presuming my personal opinion is correct). However, if what I suspect is actually true, it could play into her possibly turning against him in these civil and criminal allegations.... (and if she needs to do so to save her own ass-- this thing would seem to make it easier for her to do so).

It will be very interesting to observe how these things eventually play out.

10. Remember all those pictures of Ivanka sitting on her father's lap.

She was 12 or 13 or 14 and posed provocatively on his knee or his thigh or next to him on the bed, wearing her short teen skirts or short shorts. I'm not blaming her, because obviously her father and whoever was that was taking those pictures thought they wanted to memorialize this kind of sexualized incestuous Image.

11. I've had the same thoughts

Seems terribly obvious to me that Ivanka was abused; my god, the pain is clearly written in her face. I see it in her brothers' faces, too. Yes, they are obnoxious, dishonest people, but to my eyes, there's always an underlying expression of misery. I have no doubt they were all abused by their father in one way or another.

13. Remember she's got Jared advising her.

And I'm sure that the decision to throw Donald under the bus is a very, very easy decision for Jared. Which leaves Ivanka only to decide whether her chances for a future are better choosing Jared or creepy Daddy. I'm not sure how much better her chances are choosing Jared, but I can easily believe that's what she'll do.

9. I get the examining of possibilities, but I'm so tired of speculation. I wish we would

just get on with it. I've been watching this family's ruinous path for decades, and I've watched them leave people in their rubble forever. And always, their comeuppance is just around the corner. For years and years and years and years.
