I think this a coordinated attack on our system of Democracy by conservatives that has been positioning itself since the 80’s. The GOP has consistently become more and more extreme in its positions and lack of good faith governance thru compromise with each successive GOP administration. Now with a clear advantage at SCOTUS they are emboldened their agenda for a permanent majority. Yesterday a recording of Chip Roy GOP congressman from TX was leaked where he states clearly that the GOP wants 18 months of chaos to stop President Biden’s agenda until the GOP can retake the majorities in the House & Senate (they speak very confidently about regaining both majorities). The GOP recently tried to overthrow the government. IMO the GOP want what Putin has, unimpeded power to make regulations and laws as they see fit an Oligarchy with them as the Oligarchs.

Democratic Party members (Pelosi/Schumer) need to realize the GOP is not coming back. Stop looking for bipartisanship. They need to use every tool in their tool box to get the voting rights bill passed.
