TFG wanted to use the COVID-19 pandemic to call off the 2020 election, Wolff book says

President Donald Trump suggested using the COVID-19 pandemic as an excuse not to hold the 2020 election, according to a new book.

An excerpt from Michael Wolff's book "Landslide: The Final Days of the Trump Presidency" published in The Times of London on Tuesday said that Trump raised the prospect twice over the summer.

The excerpt said that in July 2020, Trump had been mulling ways of managing the pandemic without angering his largely anti-mask, anti-lockdown political base.

Then, Wolff wrote, Trump brought up another idea: delaying the election over the pandemic. He later spoke of "calling it off," the book said.

They didn't try to actually win. Cheat, deflect, disinform, whatever. They are so hopeless they know they have no chance of winning anything. So they try to steal it. And they screw that up too. Fucking losers.

8. Agreed, after President Obama won twice they knew

they could never overcome the popular vote ever again. Dump recognized the opening for the Big Con and pounced. Karl Rove stepped back and let Roger Stone run the dirty tricks.

Dump gave them a sugar fix of money and judges. Their less-moneyed base got the hope of an all White country. People have a short memory so Dems need to spread the ‘opposition’ out over time for best chances at the polls.

We came close to losing our democratic form of government. The system worked but just barely

7. They assumed that they could let the infection spread through large population areas where

the Democrats were strongest. The idea of shutting down the election was the back-up plan. Seems like the smoking guns are telling us what the long range game plan was....a Trumpian Dictatorship. He ought to be tried on these grounds....his lack of action contributed to the unnecessary deaths of 100's of thousands of US citizens. He was using a pandemic to accomplish this goal.
