Sen. Sherrod Brown shares pictures of what he saw in the Capitol after the insurrection January 6...

This is the first time I’m sharing my photos from January 6th.

I took these exactly six months ago - the morning after the insurrection.

This is what I saw in the Capitol.

They couldn't find anyone to kill so of course they threw furniture around.

Perhaps the Capitol Police will have nightsticks on Aug. 13, those break bones. Don't ask me how I know.

Considering that the damage estimates ran somewhere between $20 million and $30 million, that fine is clearly insufficient for the damage that was done.

It should be $10,000 to $50,000 at least!

Unless they have the major offenders destroying more expensive property, then charge them more.

And the estimate that 800 insurrectionists were in the Capitol building is correct, their fair share would
be $37,500 apiece. If $20 million then $25,000 each. Where's the justice for us taxpayers?

I felt immediately, when looking at the Senator's pictures, like I had been there before, remembering seeing this room in the video with bullhorn lady at the floor level window.

I have just Googled and confirmed that the couch on the blue sofa is seen in the video recorded January 6, 2021.
Google search brought me to a CNN report with video dated January 14.

Pissed and shit all over the capital
That is enough to demonstrate how they feel about democracy, history, art,
And the sanctity of our capital.

Those people who destroyed things at the capital are truly degenerate, traitors against our country and the people and the government.

They should be humiliated for what they did, make it clear and obvious, show what they did to the capital so they'll never outlive the shame and the disgust and anger of we who respect and value our country and democratic government.

Better not let them into the Library of Congress, the Smithsonian or the White House.

I might, however, make an exception for the Supreme Court

Even if they were successful at overturning the election or overthrowing the government they don't have a plan for the aftermath. Just like republicans never had an alternative for Obamacare. They just want to destroy things. They like cruelty. They exhibit sadistic tendencies in their actions. It just seems to be their nature.

If they ever get their way this country will become one of the cruelest and most brutal on Earth. It will become nothing short of a dystopian hellscape.

and put on a tourist no fly list and fail background checks for guns or something like that. The US should have a zero tolerance policy for these types of tourists.

for the GOP's stance on CRT and education in general.

These photos do the same, IMO, for the phrase "a crying shame."
