CINCINNATI The photos showed a shattered glass table, overturned furniture and debris strewn across an office floor.
Sen. Sherrod Brown, Ohio's senior senator from Cleveland, posted the pictures on Twitter on Wednesday. The Democrat said he took the photos of the damage on Jan. 7, a day after supporters of former President Donald Trump stormed the Capitol building and clashed with law enforcement.
"This is the first time Im sharing my photos from January 6th," Brown tweeted. "I took these exactly six months ago - the morning after the insurrection. This is what I saw in the Capitol."
Brown didn't say where the photos were taken and whether they were in his office.
