After a very rough couple of weeks Im delighted to report that my brother in law is making white cells and neutrophils like crazy and went home today! Its still a long road to recovery and were all hoping he stays clear of infection while his immune system regenerates, but so far hes right on course. Were ecstatic! Thanks everyone for the good vibes and support. IMO good news for one of us is heartening for us all.
Edit to add: I didnt actually cry til his wife told me the staff gathered and he rang the bell on his way out. HE RANG THE BELL! You whove had experience with cancer know what a powerful thing that is.

So glad to hear the procedure is working. My hope for continued progress.
Has your son had any problems from his donation?
