Found that I've been here nearly 17 years. I don't post much either although I visit DU daily. Bush years were difficult for me and I couldn't have made it through the Pmurt Hell without this site.

Went looking for some refuge very early in bush/cheney. Found a site called “Resident Bush.” I felt like I’d found someone else who felt the way I did about how they cheated Al Gore out of the presidency.

And I noticed “Democratic Underground” with other links on one of the side margins (the left side of memory holds), and it looked interesting so I went there to check it out. And I’ve never regretted it!

What a great find! Kept me sane throughout those miserable years!
