Past Presidents' travel would have offered more far less costly options for USSS to put up their agents when off duty and especially when at their "home base."

5. It is unusual to have a x-Prez who owns hotels. I suspect every Prez has a Secret Service detail

that has room charges in these circumstances. It's just that it's coming from a hotel owning x-Prez that most of us despise.

Point is, this is not an issue to me as long as the room rates are standard and comparable to what was paid for others. I despise the MFer for many other reasons than this.
