General Discussion
Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsThis afternoon we received our 2nd Quarter Medicare Statements.....
This covered activity in the 2nd Quarter, which was only our vaccinations.
I received the 2-shot Moderna vaccine, my wife received the 1-shot Johnson & Johnson vaccine.
Mine was billed at $60.00, Medicare approved $43.50, the provider was paid $43.50
Hers was billed at $50.00, Medicare approved $43.50, the provider was paid $43.50
Edit: We didn't pay the difference, $16.50 for mine or $6.50 for my wife's.
Even if we did pay ourselves, it would have been well worth it for both of us.

I'm not Medicare eligible just yet, so I have private insurance. They couldn't have billed that, as I never gave them card.
My driver's license is all I gave them.

(67,782 posts)For us Medicare paid for it, for others I presume the general fund or whatever pays for it.
