Do you expect violence between now and August 13th?

Do you have an uneasy feeling about the next few weeks?

I have little doubt but that Trump will do everything possible to incite more violence and division. With his talk of Ashli Babbitt and the "patriots" that have been arrested for their attack on our Capitol, he is already setting the table for something to happen.

Like wild animals before a natural disaster, people are acting strange. Unstable people are not predictable, in the usual sense.

Do you feel like something is about to happen that could throw our country into another crisis?

Or do you think it is just paranoia?

But violence at a level that poses a threat to the U.S. Government? Not a chance.

Nothing like January 6th, but there will be more isolated incidents, as there are now. Which might escalate more.

The way the perpetrators have been tracked down, just by using their mugs from the pics taken at the Capitol riot, is fascinating. Then you had the clueless Einsteins who wore identifying jackets, t-shirts and employer pins, longhorns, bison pelts. Who knew the Feds could track you down using your cell phone? Probably the best part was the next of kin dropping hot dimes on their ingrown-hairy a$$es.

I was very skeptical at first - I could see the complete contrast, the way they were treated vs the way BLM would have been treated had they came anywhere near the Capitol. But, here we are. I'd like to think that most Trump-humping yahoos learned a lesson from the fallout of Jan 6........but who know, their lack of critical thinking skills is what makes them admire Trump in the first place.

...I posted a thread before January 6, saying that a relative of mine in the US government who worked in one of the intelligence branches was scared shitless, because they were getting reports of something bad coming. Some folks here laughed at me, but it was true. He isn't getting those vibes now, says that most of the talk is just that--talk. This relieves me a little. But only a little...

People have jobs and lives. A civil war would disrupt all of that. So yeah they'll talk all the trash they want, but when it comes to actually pulling the trigger, they'll give every excuse as to why they shouldn't.

When absolutely zilch that Mike Lindell "predicts," happens, a few of the RWNJ's will throw fits.

Go on a shooting spree, bomb a building, and/or get busted planning shit like this.

Just heard of a guy July 4th was busted in a hotel, had lots of guns and was overlooking crowd areas.

Some of these people are so tightly wound and ready for action they are going to go off regardless of what happens. Most of them will not and will wait for further instructions. At least that is what I am hoping, but it could be worse.

A lot of them are primed for takeover though, so there is no telling what could go down. You can never be too cautious.

I think the bigger danger will be next spring as Republicans ramp up the violent paranoid rhetoric and conspiracy mongering to win votes in the primaries. Remember that rash of police shootings that happened in 2016-2017?

Republicans just love whipping up the crazies with incendiary rhetoric. People are going to snap.

It will likely lead to multiple tragedies but I doubt if it will be a fatal wound to the republic.
