CDC's Covid 19 transmission map is not looking good

There was a hell of a lot more blue in that map a few days ago.

4. Probably seeing the increase after July 4th parties

as unvaccinated people share the highly transmissible Delta variant. The next thing to look at is hospital utilization, which is rising in some red regions accordingly.

5. Cases have gone up each of the last few days between 15 and 25% over the prior week.

Cases have been increasing for about 4 weeks, and we're now at the level at which you can see the curve clearly heading back up.

7. Great. My county is red again.

And we are above 50% vaccinated. Which means even with more than half our population protected, our rate is what it was months ago. The unvaccinated are really getting hammered! There rate of infection is twice what it was back when it was bad.

Because very, very few of the positives cases are vaccinated. Or at least the ones really sick. My neighbor works at the local hospital. She told me ever covid case they have is unvaccinated.
