From an article about the current spread of Covid.

There are only two steps to herd immunity. 1. Vaccinate. 2. Let the unvaccinated CATCH the Rona. Let them get sick, and some will die. The sooner the better. We can't recover as a society, and economically, unless both conditions are met. CATCH the Rona. Spread it to your unvaccinated family and friends. And HURRY up!

(3,282 posts)I just don't want the children to have to be exposed, because they have no choice yet.
And they aren't to blame for their parents, the ones who are supposed to love and protect them but instead are putting them at risk, and why? To prop up the dessicated flatulent mass that is Trump!

Franky, the kids don't get it bad sounds a lot like the COVID deniers in March 2020 who insisted that only the old (and useless) will be seriously impacted by it.
Tired of this attitude that treats any human being as expendable - especially those who are prohibited from getting vaccinated.

(9,258 posts)When the Repugs virtually said out loud that they didnt care about Covid because the only people who were getting sick and dying lived in big cities in blue states and they werent going to vote for TFG anyway, so good riddance? Thats how I feel now. The silver lining to Rs not getting vaccinated is less of them.

(21,420 posts)the more it mutates. Instead of herd immunity, you get new variants.

This is really exactly what class action lawsuit said. That Trump purposely used us citizens against their will in a herd immunity experiment. Know that the guy who filed the suit is extremely questionable. And the suit won't go anywhere, so everyone said. But it's rationale is the only thing that made sense if you look at Trump's actions.

He just doesn't want any of YOU to get protected.
I can tell it makes them think. I can smell wood burning.

We are all being assaulted by these people and their selfish stupidity. To me, that is so fucking infuriating that I cannot enjoy any comeuppance they get along the way.
And critically, our (ironically, given RWNJ talking points) "personally responsible" behavior may not be enough because each new infection results in a possibility of completely undoing all/much of the vaccine protection we have all built up through so much effort, caution, and even suffering.

(8,709 posts)The delta is more deadly and faster. Corpses do not host anything to mutate. Fuck em. They could not wait for old people to die. Watching the Home Run Derby crowd for MLB tonight, Bang Bang Bobert may not have any voters alive in her Colorado district. Packed in and not a mask.

Except we'll get more variants.
