(5,659 posts)It's really amazing it's lasted this long, if you think about it. And I'm not saying it's over. I think we'll rebound. I think people are tired of the wackos.
But it's a not so gentle reminder that a crazy man listening to a drunk can cause nine kinds of hell.

I hope we'll overcome this, but I don't see any organized, effective resistance to the insanity among the outnumbered, sane republican'ts, and that might prove key.
The loonies are running their show.

(5,659 posts)They don't seem to have room for moderates. And the moderates are being forced to vote with the extreme or face getting kicked out.
I think this will play to our advantage in the midterms. We need to.paint Republicans as extreme domestic terrorist.

(14,722 posts)I'm not sure that being labeled extreme domestic terrorists bothers enough of them to matter... if they still vote R out of fear of exclusion, or out of ennui, they're still a threat.
I hope you're right, though.
