Notorious Rapper KTS Dre Gunned Down Outside Chicago Jail; Shot 64 Times
Local rapper, Londre Sylvester, who had just been released from Cook County Jail suffered as many as 64 bullet wounds in a fatal shooting across the street from the jail, police say
Three people were shot, including Sylvester who died after he suffered dozens of bullet wounds, during an apparent ambush as he was released from the Cook County Jail on electronic monitoring Saturday night. Fifty-nine shell casings littered the 2700 block of West 27th Street across the street from the jail around 8:50 p.m. The 31-year-old man was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 9:25 p.m., according to police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
The police report said Sylvester suffered as many as 64 bullet wounds to his head and other parts of his body. Two women with him received minor wounds. The suspects reentered their vehicles and fled the scene in different directions. Chicago police learned there were surveillance cameras in the area to review for evidence.
“It appears Sylvester was the intended target ...” the police report states.
