2020 election the most scrutinized in American history. Challenge after challenge.
Neither cause nor evidence found for
Georgia recounted 3 times.
It's clear those who challenge the election...
The Big Lie is jst that: The Big Lie.
Don't call facts fake just because you're unhappy. That's not statesmanship.
Denial of the free and fair election is sadly not the first time.
SC decision two weeks ago weakened that right to vote.
Each time we have overcome. That's what we have to do today.
Kamala Harris in charge.
Starts with voting in HR-1

Puts the burden back on Congress. As soon as it is voted, I will sign it and let the whole world see it.

Election Subversion - who gets to count the votes.
The Dept of Justice will do so and will double its size.
Civil right groups and other organizations have announced their support
They want to make voting inconvenient so people don't vote at all.
Enacted 28 news laws. Nearly 400 add'l bills are up to be passed.
Jim Crow assault was real.
We are going to challenge it vigorously while this broad assault is not unprecedented, it is taking on pernicious forms.
it's about who gets to count whether your voted gets counted at all.
This is simple: election subversion.
They want to reject the final count if their preferred candidate loses.
They are targeting people of color and people of all races and backgrounds.
Are you on the side of truth or lies?
We have to forge a coalition.
The business leaders, the labor leaders. I don't think most people think this is about who gets to count whose vote counts.
State legislature comes along and says we don't like that decision. We're going to vote this way.
Desperate attempt to deny election.
Violent insurrection at our capitol on Jan. 6.
We have senators who call this just another day at the capitol.
We met the test because of the extraordinary courage of election officials--many of them republicans.
We have to prepare now for raw election subversion
The power must always be with the people.
We have to prepare for 2022.
It is about who we are as Americans.
What country we want for our children tomorrow.
The whole world is watching.
I'm not being sentimental. I am not preaching to you. I am just giving it to you straight. Hear me clearly: there is an unfolding assault taking place in America today to suppress and subvert free and fair elections.
Assault on democracy.
Assault on liberty.
Assault on who we are.
It gives me no pleasure to say it but I swore an oath to defend the Constitution. Both threats foreign and DOMESTIC.
He owns prime time tonight
The good news is we have the means.
It requires fairmindedness, love of justice.
Declare here and now that we the people will never give up. We will do it together, making sure every vote is counted.
(Crowd is roaring)
John Lewis: Freedom is not a state, it is an act. We must act.
Act!
Walks off stage to cheers and applause.

I'd like to learn more about what he said about doubling the Justice Department. Is that doubling who is currently on this project or the budget or what. He may have said this and I missed it because I was trying so hard to get as much as I could for the notes above.
