Goddammit. I knew it.
A federal judge has agreed to free an Iowa man from jail more than six months after his videotaped confrontation of a police officer inside the U.S. Capitol became one of the most menacing images of the Jan. 6 riots
...
The judge said Jensen's actions during his confrontation of Goodman were deeply concerning and quite serious. But he noted that Jensen is not accused of toppling any barricades, damaging any property or fighting with anybody at the Capitol.
That said, he clearly disobeyed Officer Goodman and other officers, and he did position himself near the front of a mob as he ran up the stairs toward Officer Goodman," the judge said. That may be some leadership, but only in the narrowest sense."
...
Jensen traveled to Washington because he was all about a revolution and succeeded in his mission to become the poster boy for the events at the Capitol that day, prosecutors wrote in court papers. They argued that he poses a danger to the public and must remain jailed.

Among their release conditions, they aren't supposed to be in possession of any firearms. They might, or might not, be abiding by that condition, of course.
Never a good secret society of troublemakers when you need one. Harumph.

You'd think you'd err on the side of caution but guess this Judge's "philosophy" helps them sleep at night.

Fridays ruling by federal judge Timothy J. Kelly was an initial victory for CNN in its lawsuit against Trump and several top aides. The suit alleges that CNN and Acostas First and Fifth Amendment rights were violated by last weeks suspension of his press pass.

(64,995 posts)Stephanie has a good point in her tweet, but the Gerber knife shown isn't serrated. They do make half serrated blades, but that pic isn't one of them.
Also, I always carry a one hand opening knife in my pocket. It is, for me, a pocket knife. I carry a Swiss Army Knife in my car, too.
Having an assisted opening knife does not always imply intent.
Carrying it to the Capitol while participating in an insurrection is a whole other matter.
