The Republican party has no core values other than defending the wealthy from taxes and corporations from regulation. That's it. That's their entire agenda. Heck, even national security is no longer a thing with them.

No party can win elections with that agenda. So, they have to pander to the fringe elements in our country in order to win just enough to wield power. This is why Trump is so important to them. Trump is their connective tissue between these fringe elements and mainstream Republicanism.

Today, they're pandering to the anti-vaxxers because it's cheap way to add more votes to their pathetic cause and more viewers to their pathetic cable news networks.

Put simply, I believe these Republicans are trying to promote outbreaks of Covid in America to soften or damage Joe Biden's red-hot economy on the assumption that if the economy tanks then people will vote out Democrats and vote in Republicans in 2022 and 2024.

If they can likewise have outbreaks of, say, measles, then it also helps to further their aims
