24 years ago, you could only have one child etc. Dont know if there is more to this. NYT has a paywall.
Am so happy the son is back where he belongs

visit his bio-parents often. I assume that the non-bio family must have a good excuse as to why they ended up with him. They must have thought it was a legal adoption but the article doesn't say.
The father is okay with the family that raised him. He holds no grudges against them.
